STOP watching the clock and relying on wake windows...
START reading your baby's sleep signs instead
Why I hear you ask?
Babies show early, late and overtired signs. Some babies will go through each phase of sleepy signs clearly, while others will jump straight to late signs and some will show no signs at all.
So, if you notice that your baby is showing early signs of tiredness it's time to start thinking about beginning their bedtime routine or putting them down for a nap. If you notice late signs creeping in...fast track the bedtime routine or put your baby down for a nap pronto because we ideally want them to be settling to sleep before they become overtired.
Being overtired can be (but isn't limited to) the cause of so many sleep challenges so if you notice overtired signs I'd recommend getting your baby into their sleep space as soon as you can. Any later and it could take a while for your baby to become sleepy again (sometimes known as a second wind).
Wake windows are super duper when helping with mapping out naps for the day and they're always useful to have in the back of your mind but when your baby is infront of you, showing you that they're tired...ignore the numbers and follow your baby's signs for better sleep
